## A floating sauna is a cabin on a pontoon

The same pods that carry a houseboat carry a sauna. Bolt the hull together, build a deck, and put your sauna cabin and a cold-plunge ladder on top. Moor it off the shore, or move it to wherever the view is best.

### Will it be stable with people moving around?

Size the platform to the cabin plus the people and it sits level at about half immersion. The calculator does the sums.

### Do I need a consent for a floating sauna?

Moorings and structures on water usually need a consent from your regional council in New Zealand, or approval from your state waterways authority in Australia.

### Can I build the cabin myself?

Yes. Pontoonz supplies the platform; you or your builder do the cabin.

### Can you ship a floating sauna platform to Australia?

Yes. Pods ship direct from Auckland to every Australian state, with freight quoted to your address or nearest port. A 6-pod sauna platform is about AU$3,091 in pods (indicative AU$, ex GST).
